When leaves of a plant is placed in a book,it decays.But, a peacock feather placed in book remains unchanged?
A leaf is a living part of The tree and when it is taken off he tree it slowly dies. A feather is like a fingernail it grows from th body but doesn't have any life itself so it stays the same when it comes off the bird.

Anyone know how to care for a peacock fern aquarium plant? Like what it needs in terms of light, maintance?
Peacock Fern is a terrestrial plant that Petco and Petsmart have begun selling. The only way to care for it in an aquarium is to take out all of the water so it doesn't drown or rot. If you leave it in water, it WILL die. Java Fern would be a much better, aquatic option.

Peacock Plant - Calathea makoyana?
Is the Calathea Makoyana an acid loving plant?
Also what is usual growing speed of this plant? How fast does this plant produce new leaves and such? I have had this plant for over 1 month now, and it has not grown anything...

Calatheas are relatively fast growing plants, in tropical climates, they are literally left out to grow like weeds. However in order to produce beautiful foliage, light shade, well drained soil and a little controlled release fertilizer would be helpful : )
Also what is usual growing speed of this plant? How fast does this plant produce new leaves and such? I have had this plant for over 1 month now, and it has not grown anything...

I require a Dwarf Buddleia davidii 'Peakeep' Peacock plant does anyone know location of same in UK.?
This is a dwarf variety only have small garden.

Reply:Buddelia are one of those plants that are only big for a relatively short time. Enjoy a majestic display because when they finish flowering in the autumn you cut them back by half and then in the spring they get cut down again.
I didn't know dwarf ones existed. Do buy one though (or get a cutting from a friend, they take really easily) they're showstoppers!
